New Family or New to the Neighborhood...
Welcome Klein Family!

The following instructions are for new families to Klein ISD, returning families enrolling additional students, or returning families that changed addresses that are unable to attend the Klein ISD Mega Enrollment dates. If you need your account information or are experiencing other issues, contact familyaccess@kleinisd.net for assistance. The email should include your full name, your student’s name(s) and the campus each attends.


STEP 1: REQUEST ENROLLMENT ACCESS
FAMILIES NEW TO KLEIN ISD ONLY

Returning families enrolling additional students OR living in a new attendance zone proceed to next step.

Before completing the online enrollment application, you must request enrollment access.

You will need your

  • Contact Information
  • Address
  • Email Address

Once your request is submitted, you will be emailed a username and password. Please save this email or write down the username and password. This username and password will be used to submit your Online Enrollment Request in step 2.


STEP 2: ONLINE ENROLLMENT APPLICATION OR CHANGE OF RESIDENCE ENROLLMENT FORM

NEW FAMILIES AND RETURNING FAMILIES WITH NEW STUDENTS
You must login to the "Enrollment Access" login area on the Skyward Family Access Portal to complete the enrollment application. You received your username and password in an email in step 1.

Once you login, enter information for each student you wish to enroll. The system will assign the campus for the student based on the student's date of birth and home address.
RETURNING FAMILIES LIVING IN A NEW ATTENDANCE ZONE
You must download and complete the Change of Residence Enrollment Request form to enroll your students at their new schools.

STEP 3: GATHER REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Below are the verification documents required to complete the enrollment process. Gather these documents and bring them when you enroll. 

  • Proof of residency in Klein ISD (Must have a hard copy)
    • Current gas, water, or electricity bill with parent/guardian name/address
    • Lease agreement with all children listed on the lease along with a utility bill listed above
    • Earnest Money Contract (utility bill required within 30 days of closing on the home)
  • Proof of child’s identity (original birth certificate preferred)
  • Transcript/report cards from previous school
  • Complete immunization health records
  • Student's Social Security Card (preferred)
  • Parent/Guardian Identification (preferred)
  • Tuberculosis Form
  • Student History Worksheet

STEP 4: MEET WITH CAMPUS STAFF

Contact your student's specific campus to make an enrollment appointment. You will submit immunization records, school records, identification records, meet with a counselor for course selections (grades 6-12), and review educational records with a registrar. Staff will be available to answer questions & ensure your child has what they need to be successful.
